Previously she served as Chief Operating Officer for Harry Singh & Sons, a family owned vine-ripe tomato producer in the U.S and General Manager of Oceanside Produce Inc, receiving her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition & Food Science at California Polytechnic, San Luis Obispo. Luawanna is a story facilitator member of Leadership story lab.

She served as member of several agricultural organizations including California Farm Bureau, Western Growers Association, Roots of Change Council, Co-chair of the National Agricultural Coalition for Immigration Reform, a leader with the Agricultural Workforce Coalition and member of the California State Food and Ag board and Co-chair of the California Ag Vision 2030 Plan.

Currently Luawanna serves as Principal of Collaborative Communications, the Cal Poly College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences Deans Advisory Council and U.C Agricultural and Natural Resources Presidents Advisory Council.

Ms. Hallstrom believes "We can change the world one story at a time." Promoting economic and social development, health, human rights, international goodwill and understanding her work includes: supporting legislation, and policy promoting a sustainable agricultural industry, immigration reform, food safety and a secure domestic food supply for our nation.

Her work has been recognized Internationally filling a serious need. Over the last 25 plus years she has listened, learned and taken action as a voice of Agriculture - focusing on issues through meaningful and original stories, providing insights into the industry of Agriculture, building bridges and developing relationships.
